Taffida Urban

Taffida brings a deep commitment to food justice, cooperative economics, and culturally rooted care to her role as Food Pantry Manager at Feed’em Freedom Foundation. With a strong background in food and social justice, community organizing, and nonprofit leadership, she is dedicated to building systems that are equitable, resilient, and led by the people most impacted.

She believes access to fresh, healthy, and culturally relevant food is essential not only for physical nourishment, but for the healing and connection of mind, body, and soul. Her work is guided by the understanding that food and plants are a form of medicine, memory, and power—central to individual and collective liberation.

When not coordinating pantry operations and partnerships, Taffy can be found singing, dancing, and creating intentional art that reflects her passion for community, connection, sovereignty, and beauty.
