Volunteer

Feed'em Freedom Foundation believes that food justice starts with community action. Our volunteer programs are essential to serving thousands of families across Portland and beyond, providing fresh, culturally relevant food while building connections that strengthen our collective work toward food sovereignty. Whether you're helping prepare holiday food boxes, supporting our weekly food pantry operations, or creating nourishing meals for our neighbors, your time and energy directly impact our community's ability to access dignified, sustainable food resources. Join us in cultivating change and empowering BIPOC communities through hands-on service that honors the principles of self-determination and mutual support.

Every Friday from 10am to 1pm at our Rockwood location, volunteers come together to engage in meaningful farm work: weeding, planting, seeding, and harvesting, with endless opportunities for skill sharing and connection. As a thank you for your time and energy, volunteers also enjoy a share of each harvest to take home. Whether you're new to growing or a seasoned gardener, there’s a place for you here.
